Bartlesville Police Make Arrest in Equipment Theft Case

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — A man was arrested by the Bartlesville Police Department after stealing equipment and a work truck from a contractor working for the City of Bartlesville, which he later used to carry out burglaries.

On Wednesday morning around 7 a.m., officers responded to a report from Holbrook Asphalt regarding the theft of a truck and equipment from one of their job sites. Holbrook Asphalt is engaged in resurfacing projects across Bartlesville.

The stolen truck was subsequently utilized in a series of burglaries in local residential areas. Fortunately, both the truck and some of the equipment were recovered and returned to Holbrook Asphalt.

On Friday, authorities apprehended 41-year-old John Beaver IV in connection with the theft. The police noted that there may be other individuals involved in the crimes and anticipate making further arrests.

Chief Ickleberry of the Bartlesville Police Department stated, “This arrest reflects the diligent investigative efforts of our officers and the collaboration from the community. We are dedicated to ensuring accountability and safeguarding our citizens’ property and safety.”

The police emphasized that the investigation is still active and ongoing. They encourage anyone with information to reach out to the Bartlesville Police Department at 918-338-4001.

Stay tuned for further updates as the situation develops.
