Creating tires tailored for modern fleet operations involves a delicate balance of durability, efficiency, traction, and retreadability—all without making compromises. At TMC 2025, Bridgestone proactively addressed this challenge by introducing two new tires that incorporate its advanced ENLITEN Technology. These tires are designed to provide performance specifically catered to regional haul and last-mile delivery fleets, free from the compromises typical of past tire designs.

Bridgestone’s state-of-the-art ENLITEN Technology was prominently featured in both new tire models: the Bridgestone R273 Ecopia, aimed at regional steer positions, and the Bridgestone Duravis M705, intended for mixed fleet vehicles in pickup and delivery (P&D) and last-mile delivery (LMD) situations.

“ENLITEN represents our next generation of technology, enhancing our performance capabilities for each tire application while also focusing on sustainability,” stated Robby Hamby, director of commercial product strategy at Bridgestone Americas.

Innovative Truck Tire Technology for Regional and Last-Mile Fleets

The R273 Ecopia is the second regional truck tire from Bridgestone to utilize ENLITEN Technology. Featuring a new four-rib tread pattern and a low rolling resistance compound, this tire is designed to improve fuel efficiency, minimize shoulder wear, and extend removal mileage. It will be released later this year in six sizes, including 295/75R22.5 and 11R22.5.

The Duravis M705 targets fleets with diverse tire size requirements for P&D and LMD operations. This all-position tire introduces ENLITEN for the first time in its category. Bridgestone reports that it features a unique tread design with 3D sipes for extended wear, sidewall protectors, and an improved casing to boost retreadability. It also meets the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) standards for all-weather capability.

Enhancing Truck Tire Retread Value for Last-Mile Operations

Bridgestone also unveiled the Bandag B705, a retread option for the M705, set to launch in early 2026. Hamby noted a shift in how last-mile fleets are assessing retread options.

“Many of our key fleet customers recognize the value in the retread offering. We aim to expand this understanding in the burgeoning last-mile delivery segment,” he said. “We have a long history with Bandag, over 60 years, so we’re excited to extend this value to a new market segment.”

A New Service Dispatch Tool for Streamlined Maintenance

Additionally, Bridgestone introduced its Service Dispatch Solution, a digital platform designed to reduce downtime and enhance visibility during service operations. This web-based tool allows real-time tracking of road calls and scheduled maintenance integrated with Bridgestone’s catalogs and fleet databases.

“Developed by Bridgestone, this tool has been designed in collaboration with our fleet customers and dealer partners to ensure a focus on enhancing their experience,” said Bernie Veon, director of mobility tech stack at Bridgestone.

The system is said to halve service dispatch clicks, automate technician deployment, and provides users with the ability to track digital documents and notes. It also includes a mobile app to guide technicians through repairs step by step.

“It’s similar to a Domino’s Pizza Tracker,” Veon mentioned. “With our technological advancements, we prioritize data and information to improve overall experiences by keeping users informed of technician locations and maintaining ongoing communication.”

The Service Dispatch Solution is part of Bridgestone Fleet Care, representing a strategic initiative to simplify digital support and enhance service efficiency for fleets.
