RTS Announces Job Creation and Expansion in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS — A trucking firm headquartered in Indianapolis plans to generate almost 100 new jobs by the end of 2025, as reported by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
On Thursday, Renewable Transport Services Inc. unveiled its $20 million expansion initiative. The project involves enhancements to its 100,000-square-foot facility situated on the south side of the city.
Improvements under consideration include property upgrades, office refurbishments, as well as additional trucks and trailers to support operations.
Noah Sodrel, the founder and CEO of RTS, expressed in a press release, “We have established a solid reputation locally for excellent service, and our customers are eager to expand alongside us in the Midwest. Indiana is our home, and we’re excited to introduce more trucking opportunities in the state.”
Currently, RTS employs 35 individuals and is looking to recruit regional truck drivers. Interested candidates can apply at their headquarters located at 2916 Bluff Road or through their website.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has offered RTS up to $1.3 million in conditional tax credits tied to the company’s job creation efforts. These credits are performance-based, meaning incentives can be claimed once new hires are made.
Jim Staton, Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer for IEDC, commented, “Indiana’s central location, investments in infrastructure, and a diligent workforce make our state an ideal destination for companies like Renewable Transport Services. Today is a significant day as we celebrate RTS’s commitment to grow in Indiana, and we appreciate their dedication to creating quality job opportunities for Hoosiers.”
