Staffing Needs
Currently, the company employs approximately 130 individuals, including drivers and office personnel, and they are looking to fill several positions. “We are on the lookout for Long-Haul Truck Drivers, Maintenance Technicians, and a Safety Compliance Coordinator,” states Marlene Pearce, the HR Supervisor.
Long-Haul Truck Drivers
Long Haul Truck Drivers are tasked with transporting temperature-controlled freight throughout Canada and the United States. To qualify, candidates must hold a valid Class 1 License, maintain a clean driving record, and possess at least one year of driving experience. Additionally, a United States work visa is required. “Compensation is based on mileage, with rates ranging from 46 to 52 cents per mile, contingent upon experience,” Marlene adds.
Maintenance Technicians
Maintenance Technicians play a crucial role in addressing various mechanical issues, conducting inspections, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring that mechanical parts are repaired and adjusted properly. It is essential for candidates to have two years of experience with diesel engines and to demonstrate a keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate should be willing to ask questions and engage in hands-on work.
