Rain Cancels Racing at Grandview Speedway
Morning rain, combined with further precipitation expected throughout the afternoon, led to the cancellation of the racing events scheduled for Saturday, May 9 at Grandview Speedway.
Rain began to fall in the Berks County area by mid-morning, with forecasts indicating continued showers until race time, leaving insufficient opportunity to prepare the track for the evening’s competitions.
This cancellation marks the second rainout in three weeks at Grandview, following a successful April where the first three races of the season took place under excellent weather.
The Saturday program was set to feature TWIN 25-LAP FEATURES for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds, alongside a full program for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman. Due to the rainout, the special TWIN 25’s event for the Modifieds has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 30.
Looking Ahead to Next Weekend
Attention now shifts to Saturday, May 16, which will host another racing event under the NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts. This includes races for both the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds and Sportsman divisions.
Qualifying heats will precede the feature events, culminating in a 30-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified race and a 25-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman feature. Race night will begin at 6:30 pm, with pit gates opening at 3:30 pm and grandstand gates at 4:30 pm, followed by warm-ups at 5:30 pm.
Admission Details and Upcoming Events
General admission for adults is $20, while students aged 10-15 with ID can enter for $10. Children ages 9 and under are admitted for free. Pit admission costs $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
Advance tickets for the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series opener featuring the highly anticipated Kyle Larson/Brad Sweet Interstate Batteries High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series on Tuesday, May 19, are now available at HIGHLIMITRACING.COM. This event is presented by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment and RICH MAR Florist. Grandstand gates will open at 4:30 pm for advance ticket holders, while general admission tickets go on sale at 5 pm. Heat race qualifying will commence at 7:35 pm.
