Thunder on the Hill Racing Series Returns
The Levan Machine & Truck Equipment Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will make its way back to Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, June 16. The exciting lineup features a thrilling double-header with the USAC Non-Wing Sprint Car and 358 Modified divisions. Gates will open at 5 PM, with heat race qualifying set to begin at 7:30 PM. This event continues the long-standing tradition of combining these prestigious and energetic racing divisions into one evening of spectacular entertainment, proudly presented by Alpine Building Supply from Schuylkill Haven, PA.
Advance Ticket Information
Fans can take advantage of the popular Thunder on the Hill advance ticket process for this event. To purchase advance tickets, call 443-513-4456. Don’t forget to provide your first and last name along with the number of tickets required. On race night, ticket holders can pick up and pay for their tickets at the WILL CALL window starting at 4:30 PM. Those with advance tickets will have early access to the grandstands at 4:30 PM, a half-hour before general admission tickets become available at 5 PM.
Main Events and Prizes
After qualifying rounds for both divisions, the first main event will be the 40-lap USAC Jesse Hockett Classic, with a winner’s prize of $6,000. The feature for the 358 Modifieds will span 30 laps and offer $3,000 to the victor. Additionally, a bonus of $2,000 is available for any driver winning their first Thunder on the Hill Modified feature, making it a potential $5,000 payout for the winner of the 30-lap race.

The 358 Modified division is recognized for its exhilarating races, and the event on June 16 promises to uphold that tradition. A roster of skilled drivers is anticipated, including Eddie Strada, Jared Umbenhauer, Rick Laubach, Jeff Strunk, and several more talented competitors.

The entry list for the USAC Amsoil Non-Wing Sprints is equally impressive, featuring current National Tour points leader Kyle Cummins, defending Eastern Storm Champion Justin Grant, and many other notable racers like Brady Bacon and “The Mad Man” Robert Ballou.
