Exciting Return of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series
The prestigious event is set to make its fourth consecutive appearance at Grandview Speedway as Levan Machine & Truck Equipment along with RICH MAR Florist present the Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing Roto-Rooter Midweek 410 Sprints on Tuesday, May 19. This marks the start of the 37th season for the Levan Machine & Truck Equipment Thunder on the Hill Racing Series.

Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA will host prominent figures in Sprint Car Racing, including the current High Limit point leader Tanner Thorson, NASCAR celebrity Kyle Larson—who has won a Thunder on the Hill event four times—and defending High Limit Champion Rico Abreu, amongst others.
Ticket Information
Don’t forget to purchase your advance tickets at HIGHLIMITRACING.COM. Advance ticket holders will enter the grandstands through the first turn gate, ensuring a quick and smooth process, allowing for seat selection before general admission tickets go on sale. Gates open at 4:30 PM for advance ticket holders and 5 PM for general admission. In case of rain, the event will take place the following night, May 20. Heat race qualifying is scheduled for 7:35 PM.
Local Highlights
Other competitors expected to race include local favorites like Brent Marks, who has previously won at Grandview, and other talents such as Aaron Reutzel, Tyler Courtney, and Justin Peck. Local 410 racers will also be vying for a $20,000 first-place prize, with an additional $2,000 bonus for a Pennsylvania driver who wins the 35-lap High Limit feature.
Honoring a Racing Legend
The event carries added significance as it honors the memory of racing legend Greg Hodnett. The Hodnett Cup, a trophy that belonged to Greg, is awarded annually, with the winner’s name inscribed on it. Previous Hodnett Cup winners include notable racers like Danny Dietrich and Kyle Larson.
Alpine Building Supply Initiatives
Alpine Building Supply will be offering a limited edition Alpine Thunder on the Hill Racing Series shirt, featuring designs showcasing a 410 Sprint and other race cars. Proceeds from shirt sales will support the Big Impact Group of Schuylkill County, a mentoring program for local youth. Shirts will be available for $20 to $25 depending on size at the Grandview Speedway.
