Inland Truck & Equipment Expands into Alberta

Inland Truck & Equipment has announced its expansion into Alberta through the acquisition of Edmonton Kenworth, which will take effect on April 1.

This acquisition adds six locations in Northern Alberta, extending Inland’s presence in Canada from British Columbia and Yukon to Manitoba. This move marks a significant milestone in the company’s strategy for growth in Western Canada, according to a press release.

Leadership Comments on the Acquisition

Andrew Johnston, president and chief operating officer of Inland Truck & Equipment Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, emphasizing the alignment in values and commitment to customer support between the two organizations.

“We are thrilled to enter the Alberta market and integrate our team with the talented individuals from Edmonton Kenworth,” Johnston stated. “We have always held the Edmonton Kenworth team in high regard due to their strong reputation.”

Edmonton Kenworth’s Legacy

Established in 1982, Edmonton Kenworth has been serving a diverse clientele, including fleets and owner-operators in the transportation, oil and gas, and forestry sectors. The six locations will transition under the Inland brand, with existing personnel expected to continue in their roles.

Future Prospects

Gary King, president of Edmonton Kenworth, expressed confidence in Inland’s capability to further the business. “Inland operates with the same core values of honesty and integrity that we do,” he noted. “They will create excellent advancement opportunities for our employees while enhancing customer support.”

Improved Service for Customers

Inland highlighted that this expanded network will bolster service continuity for fleets operating across provincial lines, providing improved access to parts, service, and support throughout Western Canada.
