Nomination Open for WIT Image Team Class of 2026

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) is now accepting nominations for its Image Team Class of 2026.

WIT President and CEO Jennifer Hedrick, CAE, stated, “Drivers are the heartbeat of our industry, and the Image Team showcases the rewarding nature of a driving career. We look forward to highlighting women who are devoted to their professions, willing to share their narratives, and committed to uplifting others in the trucking sector.”

About the WIT Image Team

Established in 2015, the Image Team represents drivers from various backgrounds across the trucking industry. Members engage in media interviews, participate in community and industry events, provide educational outreach, and offer ride-alongs to promote women in trucking.

The WIT emphasizes, “This distinguished group of professional female drivers serves as the voice for women behind the wheel, sharing their stories, advocating for the industry, and motivating the next generation to consider careers in trucking.” The nomination deadline is February 6.

Eligibility Criteria

Nominations must come from a current employer or supervisor who endorses the driver’s involvement and time commitment. Owner-operators may self-nominate. Eligible candidates must:

  • Hold a current CDL and be actively working in the industry with a solid safety record.
  • Exhibit professionalism and a strong safety record.
  • Be comfortable engaging with the public and participating in media opportunities.
  • Demonstrate dedication to WIT’s mission.
  • Possess a social media presence or be willing to engage on those platforms.

Selection Process

Finalists will be interviewed in February, with the new Image Team Class of 2026 being announced at the Salute to Women Behind the Wheel event during the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville on March 27.
